My name is Pen Pen, and I’m a girl. I used to have two brothers, but they have already gone missing. I don’t know where they are or what happened to them. I just hope they are safe. Every day, I would bring my family to a kind person’s house because there was food waiting for us. We could eat chicken heads there, and that was something I looked forward to every day. But in the middle of May 2026, I suddenly stopped coming for two or three days. It wasn’t because I didn’t want to go… I was already badly injured. My arm had been tightly tied with something, possibly a rope. As the days passed, the injury became worse. The blood supply was cut off, and eventually, the tissue in my arm started to die. I was in so much pain. But I was even more scared. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know if anyone would come to save me. Then, on the night of 29 May, the kind person finally found me. By then, I was in terrible condition. My arm was severely injured, and the bone could already be seen because the tissue had become necrotic. I was terrified. I was scared of people coming near me because I didn’t know if they were going to hurt me again. But they didn’t give up on me. They contacted Rawang Dog Shelter and asked for help to rescue me. Thankfully, with Charles’ help, I was finally captured and rescued. The vets later said that my arm was already too badly damaged and necrotic. It could no longer be saved, so it had to be amputated. I lost one of my legs… But I also gained a second chance at life. Today, I am staying at Rawang Dog Shelter. There are people here who take care of me. I have food, a safe place to stay, and people who care about me. I used to be so afraid of humans because of everything I had been through. But now, I’m slowly learning how to trust people again. Thank you to the person who never gave up on me. Thank you to everyone who helped rescue me. And thank you to everyone who is taking care of me now. My name is Pen Pen. I may have lost a limb, but I have not lost my will to live. ❤️🐾 special thanks to our Malay friend Sofian, for providing pen pen ‘s story and helping us share her journey ❤️
